ACTIVE SHOOTER TRAINING
The (AST) consists of training to empower individuals to recognize, respond and survive a critical threat or “Active Shooter Incident.” The definition provided by the FBI, is no longer a “mass shooting”, but “an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined and populated area.” Within the general America psyche, the era of this phenomenon began on April 20th 1999 at Columbine High School in Colorado. Since that time, schools, churches, businesses, universities, and wherever people congregate, have been targeted without discrimination.
