ACTIVE SHOOTER TRAINING

The (AST) consists of training to empower individuals to recognize, respond and survive a critical threat or “Active Shooter Incident.”  The definition provided by the FBI, is no longer a “mass shooting”, but “an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined and populated area.”  Within the general America psyche, the era of this phenomenon began on April 20th 1999 at Columbine High School in Colorado.  Since that time, schools, churches, businesses, universities, and wherever people congregate, have been targeted without discrimination.  Throughout this training program, our mission as accredited law enforcement officers is to “protect and save lives by teaching others to act as a unified team against an active threat.” Listed below is some of the vital information we provide:

  • Understanding FBI statistics as they relate to a proper response.

  • Knowing the psychology and physical human reactions to a high stress situation.

  • Gaining a “winning mindset.”

  • Empowering the individual and team.

  • Learning tactics unarmed civilians can use to survive.

  • Unifying together against the attack.

  • Administering medical aid.

  • Best practice building procedures to have in place.

  • Understanding law enforcements initial priorities and response measures.
